Power Flush Service
Power Flush
- Are your bills higher than they used to be?
- Do your radiators feel colder than usual?
- What is a power flush?
Power flushing is a way of removing debris, rust and sludge from your whole heating system. High pressure water and cleaning chemicals are pumped through your heating system from the internal pump on the power flushing machine, which will collect all the sludge and debris. This would then be discharged into a drain until the system is clean.
Key Benefits of a Power Flush
- Improved efficiency. By removing blockages water can circulate through pipework and radiators easier and more evenly. This will allow radiators to heat up a lot better.
- Lower energy bills. A more efficient heating system uses less power and gas which can reduce your bills.
- Improve lifespan. Your boiler, pump, pipework and radiators can last longer after a power flush. This can prevent future replacement costs.
- Removes cold spot. The cold spots that were previously on your radiators would be gone.
A power flush is not necessary or advised for every heating system. A less invasive system flush would be recommended for certain systems.

Power Flush – Questions & Answers
Not every system is suited to a full power flush. Older or more delicate systems might benefit more from a less aggressive system flush. When we visit, we’ll assess your system and recommend what’s best for your home and your boiler.
Yes – by improving the flow of water in your heating system, your boiler won’t have to work as hard to heat your home. That increased efficiency can help reduce your gas usage and bring those energy bills down.
A power flush uses specialised equipment to pump high-pressure water and cleaning chemicals through your heating system. It clears out rust, sludge and debris that can block your pipes and radiators. The result? A warmer home and a more efficient system.
If your radiators feel cooler than usual, especially at the bottom, or your heating bills have crept up without reason, your system could be suffering from a build-up of sludge. We can assess your system and let you know if a power flush is the right solution or if a gentler system flush would be better.
Not always, but it’s often recommended. If your existing heating system has cold spots on radiators, noisy pipes, or has been running inefficiently, a power flush can clear out sludge and debris. This helps protect your new boiler and ensures it runs efficiently from day one.
